Chicago Cubs

The Cubs are an American professional baseball team based in Chicago, Illinois. The Cubs compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as part of the National League (NL) Central division. They play home games at Wrigley Field, located on the city's North Side. The Cubs are one of two major league teams based in Chicago; the other, the Chicago White Sox, is a member of the American League (AL) Central division. The Cubs, first known as the White Stockings, were a founding member of the NL in 1876, becoming the Chicago Cubs in 1903.

The Chicago Cubs are one of Major League Baseball's most beloved franchises. The team has won the National League pennant 17 times and the World Series three times, notably in 2016. That championship came after a famously long drought that lasted more than a century, as the Cubs had last won the title in 1908. In fact, it was rumored that the Cubs were cursed in 1945 by the owner of the Billy Goat Tavern, who was reportedly banned from bringing his pet goat into the park during that year's World Series. Starting with the 2020 season, the team is managed by David Ross.

Through 2020, the franchise's all-time record is 11,016-10,430 (.514)

Where do the Chicago Cubs play their home games?

  • The Cubs are known as "the North Siders", a reference to the location of Wrigley Field within the city of Chicago, and in contrast to the White Sox, whose home field (Guaranteed Rate Field) is located on the South Side.

What is the Chicago Cubs schedule?

  • The Cubs schedule is typically released in August, though the MLB will continue to announce games through the middle of January.

What teams are in the Chicago Cubs division?

  • The Cubs are in the NL Central division with the Cincinnati Reds, Milwaukee Brewers, Pittsburgh Pirates, and St. Louis Cardinals.

The current manager of the Cubs is David Ross. The 2021 Chicago Cubs have the talent to make a run at their first World Series berth since 2015. Head out to the Friendly Confines to see Grandpa Rossy and the gang battle the likes of the Brewers and Cardinals for NL Central supremacy.  Don’t miss history in the making and pick up some cheap tickets at sitickets.com
