The Jacksonville Jaguars are a National Football League (NFL) franchise based in Jacksonville, Florida. They are part of the American Football Conference (AFC) and are within the AFC South division. The Jaguars play their home games at the TIAA Bank Field.

The Jaguars entered the league as an expansion team in 1995 along with the Carolina Panthers. The Jaguars clinched their first playoff berth in their second season and advanced all the way to the AFC Championship game. Since entering the league, the Jaguars have won three division titles and have made seven playoff appearances. They are one of four NFL teams to have never played in the Super Bowl. 

This season brings a lot of hope for the Jaguars and their fans after having taken the highly rated recruit, Trevor Lawrence with the number one pick in the 2021 NFL draft. Lawrence is entering his second season as the Jaguars quarterback and hopes to make the sophomore leap that many expect from him. The Jaguars also brought in a new head coach this season in Doug Pederson, the former coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, who won the Super Bowl in 2018. Pederson is hoping his previous success will translate to his new team.
