The Las Vegas Raiders are a National Football League (NFL) team based in the Las Vegas metropolitan area of Nevada. The Raiders were a founding member of the American Football League (AFL) as the Oakland Raiders in 1960. The Raiders played in Oakland, California for 10 seasons before moving to Los Angeles in 1970. The Raiders moved back to Oakland in 1995 and moved again to Las Vegas in 2019. The Raiders are part of the American Football Conference (AFC) and are in the AFC West division. The Raiders have played their home games at Allegiant Stadium since 2019.

The Raiders won four league championships, winning the AFL Championship once, prior to the NFL-AFL merger, and three Super Bowls. The Raiders have made 22 playoff appearances, winning 15 division titles and four conference titles. Much of the Raiders success came under former head coach and owner, Al Davis. Davis had a bold personality and contributed his confident personality to the team with slogans such as “Just Win Baby” and “Commitment to Excellence”. The current owner of the team is his son, Mark Davis. 

This season for the Raiders will mark the ninth year with quarterback Derek Carr at the helm. Carr is trying to bring the Raiders back to the playoffs after making his postseason debut last year. With an improved defense and talented weapons on the offensive side like Davante Adams, Josh Jacobs, and Darren Waller, the Raiders will look to reach the playoffs in back to back seasons in Las Vegas.
